Building Quantum Pathways from Education to Industry
Quantum Days 2026 is Canada’s national conference focused on quantum science, technology, and commercialization. The event was held from February 18–20, 2026, in Victoria, British Columbia. Organized by Deep Tech Canada, the conference connected research, industry, education, and policy to support Canada’s growing quantum ecosystem.
“Canada is recognized globally as a leader in quantum science and technology, thanks to consistent investment and collaboration across sectors. We have achieved this together, and we will continue to see the benefits of sector innovation by working toward a shared goal: providing a better life and a cleaner, healthier, and safer future for all Canadians, across provinces and territories.” — Diana Gibson, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation for British Columbia
The three-day event included keynote presentations, technical talks, panel discussions, poster sessions, exhibitions, and networking events. Topics covered quantum computing, sensing, communications, photonics, standards, and commercialization.

By connecting learners directly with researchers and employers, the conference supported clear progression from education into quantum-related careers. The exhibition floor brought together universities, research institutions, government organizations, and industry.
Applied Quantum Systems Program: Bridging Education and Industry
A dedicated Startup Zone highlighted early-stage innovators and supported collaboration across the ecosystem. Among the startup exhibitors, ArithQ Technologies Inc. (ArithQ), founded in Saskatchewan by Mandana Bidarvand, presented its developing quantum education program in partnership with Nanan Academy. The Applied Quantum Systems Program is designed for engineers, R&D teams, data scientists, and technical professionals who want a structured and practical way to engage with quantum concepts.

Through this partnership, students see how mathematical and quantum knowledge applies to real-world industry challenges, strengthening the link between education and applied innovation. A clear message emerged: for quantum technologies to move beyond specialized research environments, quantum knowledge must become more accessible and applicable.
Quantum Days 2026 brought Canada’s quantum community together around collaboration, talent development, and real-world impact. By connecting research to application and education to industry, the conference strengthened pathways that support the continued growth of Canada’s quantum ecosystem.
