Ideas to Impact: Student Project and Business Showcase 2025
Nanan Academy’s “Ideas to Impact: Student Project and Business Showcase” took place on October 25, 2025, at the Saskatchewan Science Centre in Regina. The event brought together bright minds throughout Saskatchewan to celebrate creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship as featured in CTV News (view article).
Students presented a wide range of projects, including a remote-controlled robotic arm, video games created with Scratch, RPG Maker, and Python, 3D designs and prints, mobile apps, and engaging demonstrations using the Edison Robot. Visitors also had the chance to participate in hands-on activities with mBot robots, making the event both educational and interactive.

Entrepreneurship students showcased their business ventures, including a booth selling homemade slime, demonstrating the entrepreneurial spirit nurtured at Nanan Academy. Academic Director of the Academy, Shaun Nanan, observed that the students demonstrated confidence while presenting to the public. “Communication and public speaking are among the most important skills for the future of work,” said Nanan. “It was inspiring to see students speak passionately about their projects.”

Cutting-edge technology was also on display, featuring demonstrations of the Unitree Go2 Air robot dog and a 3D scanner, capturing the excitement of modern innovation.

Students from Cowessess First Nation, Piapot First Nation, Mother Teresa Middle School, and the Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation proudly showcased their projects as part of Nanan Academy’s program, highlighting their creativity, innovation, and passion for learning.

This event was made possible through the generous support of our community and industry partners: K+S Potash Canada, Enbridge, Yara Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan Science Centre, Holy Trinity Catholic School Division, and the Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation. Their contributions continue to empower youth to turn their ideas into reality and inspire the next generation of leaders.
