Nanan Academy and Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Launch Expanded STEM-YXE Academy in Saskatoon

Nanan STEM Academy Inc. is proud to announce its partnership with Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc. in delivering STEM-YXE Academy, an educational initiative offering both Beginner and Advanced Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs for youth in Grades 4–12 located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Together, the two organisations are empowering Saskatchewan’s next generation of innovators with hands-on experience in coding, robotics, engineering, and entrepreneurship.

Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation is a Saskatoon-based charitable organisation that promotes equity, inclusion, and empowerment. The Foundation serves visible and ethnic-minority individuals and families through programs that build leadership, social inclusion, and economic resilience.

Students Excited to Explore STEM

The STEM-YXE Academy, organized by Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation and franchised through Nanan STEM Academy, introduces youth to the world of technology and innovation through engaging, project-based learning. The Academy is offering two program levels, Beginner and Advanced, to support learners at every stage of their STEM journey.

Project Demonstration

STEM-YXE Beginner Class

Empowering young learners from interactive coding to advanced robotics.

  • What to Expect:
    • Scratch and Python Coding
    • Introduction to Robotics
    • Building Advanced 2D Games
    • App Development
  • Schedule: Saturdays
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: 3-320 Jessop Avenue, Saskatoon

Format: In-person sessions with online resources.

This program introduces students to core programming and design principles in a collaborative learning environment.

STEM-YXE Advanced Class

Advancing programming and robotics to the next level.

  • What to Expect:
    • Web Development
    • Advanced C and C++ Programming
    • Graphics Designing
    • Entrepreneurship
  • Schedule: Saturdays
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Location: 3-320 Jessop Avenue, Saskatoon
  • Format: In-person sessions with online resources

The Advanced Class challenges learners to elevate their programming skills while exploring robotics and creative design.

This partnership reflects both organisations’ shared mission to create equitable access to STEM education and foster innovation among youth. “Partnering with Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation aligns perfectly with our vision of equipping learners with the skills and mindset to thrive in a changing world,” said Shaun Nanan, Co-Founder of Nanan STEM Academy. “Together, we are empowering youth to innovate, lead, and succeed.”
