The journey continues in our Game Wizards course, as students design complex games using Python on the PixelPAD platform. The crafting of well-structured, multi-level, and multiplayer games is a significant focus of this course.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

Python Fundamentals

Understand the fundamentals of Python programming, including variables, data structures, loops, conditional statements, functions, object oriented programming and more.

Design 2D Game

Design and create innovative 2D video games using Python and PixelPAD’s user-friendly libraries and features.

Game Mechanics

Implement game mechanics, such as character movement, collision detection, in-game sound, multi-level and multi-player capabilities.

PixelPAD was designed to take learners beyond Scratch. Its APIs are intentionally designed with features that are conducive to learning underlying mechanics and code. So, although a powerful engine, PixelPAD was built for education, and therefore lacks “magic buttons” that just give objects physics, or just makes a game “work”.
